The start of my Journey!
I vividly remember my first day, arriving at work early with a sense of excitement about learning something new. My training was brief and straightforward; the manager simply pointed to a phone, some properties to sell, and a list of applicants to call, instructing me to get on with selling them. In today’s standards, some might consider this the worst form of training imaginable. However, I followed his instructions instinctively, and in my first week, I sold four houses (thankfully, training methods have improved significantly since then).
Although I initially assumed this level of success was the norm, the shocked expressions on my colleagues’ faces whenever I booked a viewing or closed a sale in that first week made it clear that it wasn’t. Over the years, I’ve come to genuinely believe that this is the best industry and job in the world.
To me, the keys to success are simple: work hard, maintain a positive attitude, prioritise your clients’ needs, and have a genuine passion for advising and assisting as many people as possible. Don’t just work in the industry; immerse yourself in it, and enjoy the process along the way!
